Its was actually made as a manga in the erly 60's( for those who don't know). The creater( forgot his name and last name) was only going to create a manga( I think) until the manga, itself, became very popular. Thats when the show came in, until 2001, when it finally was its last show of the cyborg series( cause the guy is now dead)

That's right, 009's pretty old. The author's name is Ishinomori (or just Ishimori). This is his official site: www.ishimoripro.com/ Its in Japnese but has lots of pictures of his other works. Actually, most manga starts off as just books until they get popular... There have been 3 anime series. I have some pis of the first 2 on this page: photobucket.com/albums/v336/paulafromtwosonjp/old%20anime/They're not the highest quality but... Don't give up! There might be another series someday! Animators often make shows and movies after the creators die... Although, Its unlikely that the'd do that anytime in the near future since the latest one is still pretty new...

Yep, it'll be like when Walt Disney died. They get people to practice his drawing stlye, and then once they master it, Cyborg 009 will be alive once again.

The creator was Shotaro Ishinomori. But Ishinomori wasn't his true last name. He named himself after his birthplace. Yeah, it really is old. I knida found it strange when my dad said that he recognised the characters in a black and white pic as a show he used to watch on Canadian TV when he was akid. And he's 47.
